Another day, another fresh pomade! Louche Grease is the first product from Oakland’s Ghost Town Pomade Co, a relatively new kid on the block. We heard great things about this one, so we had to check it out for ourselves.
Scooping it out feels easy and light, but once you have applied it to your hair, Louche Grease will provide a grip that is stronger than the medium hold advertised on the can; it is more of a medium heavy pomade such as Goon Grease. It feels pleasantly waxy and will tame any pesky flyaways with no problem. Louche will also allow you to achieve major pompage, but even more importantly, it will keep the pomp going without it splitting while you are out and about.
The scent is subdued, with a slight hint of floral and bergamot notes, making it ideal for those of you who prefer pomades that won’t overpower or clash with your cologne. Louche washes out more easily with shampoo when compared to other non-water soluble pomades, which is great if you dislike buildup in your hair. Otherwise, you’ll get a waxy buildup on the second day, which will let you go for a casual finger-combed look.
