Lockhart’s beard oil is a blend of five different vitamin-rich oils, lanolin and three essential oils – bergamot, cedarwood and lavender – that will condition your beard and leave it smelling fresh like a hike through the forest. Interestingly, Lockhart’s compares it to what Paul Bunyan would have smelled like, but for local context, think Badang; in other words, this woodsman beard oil will leave you smelling manly as all get-out.
For those of you without a good and proud facial blanket to adorn your faces, you may wonder if beard oils are even necessary. A beard is a beard, right? Beards, just like the rest of the hair on your head, require maintenance them to be healthy and look presentable. As big beards tend to cover the bottom half of faces, the oils help to moisturise the skin covered by beards as well, so as to soothe any itchiness or irritation caused by dryness.
Application couldn’t be easier: simply use the dropper to add two or three drops to your chinstrap and rub it lovingly through. For fellas with bushier whiskers, feel free to use more. The action of applying it will cause increased beard growth as castor oil, together with the tugging action, will stimulate the follicles. The oil will also help to shape your beard into a more handsome form, as well as imparting moisture and shine for that glowing healthy look.
